Purple House Co-op

We are a housing cooperative that provides permanent, affordable housing for low-income residents, managed in partnership with the San Francisco Community Land Trust. The Purple House Co-op currently has two vacant rooms in our 10 room house with a shared kitchen, living area, and three bathrooms.

- An international, multi-generational, non-hierarchal community
- Permanent affordable housing for low-income folks!
- We believe in trust and respect the value of diversity.
- No smoking indoors
- No pets

Our home is located in the Lower Haight near Oak and Scott Street. As a member of the Purple House we ask that you commit to participating in house meetings and duties. The responsibilities can take up to eight hours each month. We want to live with people that have experience living with a large household. It is different living with nine other humans as opposed to one or two. We all respect each other's space, and the communal spaces. So if you're looking for a party house, this isn't for you.

This is affordable housing suited for low-income folks and there are income restrictions:
A one person household must earn between: $18,800-35,450 annually
A two person household must earn between: $18,800-40,500 annually
Rent includes utilities; cables and internet are separate.

If you are interested in living here, reply by email us at thepurplehousesf@gmail.com to request more information about the house.
